If talking about Vanilla and some other mods, warrior is easier to play because of his extra strength. Rogue is also pretty nice, because he can go longer without food, Scrolls of Magic Mapping are identified from the beginning and he identifies rings by equipping them. I think that's really cool and helpful. In Sprouted Warden is the best choice, because she collects more dew and seeds, and with upgraded Sandals of Nature it's very powerful.
I also like Warlock in Sprouted, cause he NEVER starves and each time after he levels up his HP overfills by a current level number. In YAPD Warrior is the easiest to play and the Acolyte is the most difficult, afaik. In Shattered classes are well-balanced, so you have a wiiide choice.Of course, it depends on your playing style and perconal preferences. Nah, sniper is by far the most difficult class. Prior to getting to be a sniper, you have guards, gnoll shaman, and crabs which all make ranged attacks painful to maintain, and after that you have bats, monks (crazy parry rate), warlocks, evil eyes, scorpions, and succubi. Every enemy in the demon halls can counter you somehow, whether due to the succubus porting right next to you and ruining your accuracy, or simply through being a ranged attacker. The main problem with the sniper is accuracy. Nothing in this game hits very regularly without a +3 or +4 ring of accuracy, even at higher levels - the sniper can't take advantage of corners/doors as easily, and the boomerang doesn't scale well damage-wise, even when heavy. Hunter can do it without having to find quite rare scrolls - just consuming one health potion, which is way easier to find. She also can use paralytic gas/spectral blade to kill yog and it's not even funny.
I do find Spectral Blade OP, and to me the real boss with huntress is the dwarf king. If you kill it - and you have a few mind vision/magic mapping - you've finished the game.
That is not the case with a warrior. I rarely kill DK with 3 lullabies/psionic blasts in my inventory. In Sprouted for end-boss runs:Gladiator with Ring of Haste, Ring of Furor, Heavily weighted Vampiric Spork, and Armor of Viscosity. (Endless combos)Freerunner with heavily upgraded Armor of Stench, a Ring of Evasion, a Ring of Furor, and the Trident.
(Slow them down and fight without taking hits)Warden with a Ring of Haste, Chainsaw hand, a Ring of Accuracy, and Armor of Viscosity. Carry Greaves of nature along. (Throw a seed and start a garden.
Harvest dew and wreck with that Chainsaw Hand, which needs to be at an extreme level)Judge me if I'm incompetent, but those seem pretty good to me.
